BOILER INSPECTIONS

What is a boiler inspection?

A boiler inspection is also known as a pressure test, or a PSSR test. We will use a camera to inspect the inside of your boiler for limescale build up. Based on the results of this we will also conduct a descaling procedure if needed. We also ensure the equipment gets to, maintains, and operates safely at pressure, we only use certified parts to ensure the safety of your equipment all while being CoffeeSafe accredited.

What does PSSR mean?

The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR) cover the safe design and use of pressure systems. The aim of PSSR is to prevent serious injury from the hazard of stored energy (pressure) as a result of the failure of a pressure system or one of its component parts.

What is CoffeeSafe?

CoffeeSafe is an independent health and safety driven organisation. Their primary aim is to continually Improve safety, raise standards and promote awareness within the coffee industry.

They do this by applying a ‘Think Safety First’ attitude at all times.

They work in close partnership with industry manufacturers, suppliers and service providers, to maintain the safety of traditional espresso, bean to cup coffee machines and self-serve vending machines.

How often do I need a boiler inspection?

It's best to, and often required to have one annually. This is a great opportunity to tie link an inspection with a full service. This will ensure your equipment is performing at it's best as well as reduce the likelihood of future breakdowns. It's also a great opportunity to change your water filter to keep your products tasting great.

Why do I need a boiler inspection?

They are often required for insurance purposes, it's best to contact your insurance provider to see if they require proof of this test. Often supplying a CoffeeSafe certificate will suffice however, there may be a need for an inspector from the insurance company to be present during the test too.
